The novel Khama is a love story born from war and bloodshed, one we have perhaps seldom heard or read.

The book narrates the story of Kurds exiled by Reza Khan to Arasbaran. Their "crime" was resisting Turkish forces along the foothills of Mount Ararat. Now, in this exile, they have nothing but themselves. Despite the anguish and scars etched into their hearts and minds, they still fall in love and lose themselves to passion. Among them is Khalil, a young man with a bold and honorable father and a nurturing wet nurse, and Khama, the woman he loves. The love between Khalil and Khama, set against this exiled landscape, is a story worth hearing.
